These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Unyt (the "Service") provided by CRAFTFIN TECHNOLOGY LABS PVT LTD ("Company", "we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.

Definitions

"Service" means the Unyt web application, mobile application, APIs, and related software provided by the Company.
"User", "you", "your" means any individual who creates an account and uses the Service.
"Content" means any data, information, documents, or materials you upload, enter, or otherwise submit to the Service.
"Items" means the financial records you maintain within the Service, including bank accounts, investments, insurance policies, liabilities, real estate, subscriptions, contacts, documents, nominees, recurring payments, and tax filings.
"Family" means a multi-user group linked within the Service for shared financial visibility and collaboration.
"Plan" means the subscription tier (free or paid) applicable to your account at any given time.

Eligibility

You must: (a) be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to contract under applicable law; (b) not be barred from using the Service under any applicable law or regulation; and (c) use the Service only for lawful purposes. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization or entity, you represent that you have full authority to bind that entity to these Terms. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet all of the foregoing requirements.

Account Registration

You agree to: (a) provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and keep it up to date; (b) maintain the confidentiality of your authentication credentials, device security, session tokens, and app PIN; (c) notify us immediately at support@unyt.money of any suspected unauthorized access to your account; and (d) not share, sell, or transfer your account or credentials to any third party. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Service Description

Unyt is a personal and family financial organizer that allows you to catalog, track, and manage financial Items across bank accounts, investments, insurance policies, liabilities, real estate, subscriptions, contacts, documents, nominees, recurring payments, and tax records. The Service is an organizational and informational tool only. We do not provide financial, legal, tax, or investment advice, and nothing in the Service constitutes such advice.

Notes, documents, extracted fields, and linked records are stored as part of your account and protected by authenticated access controls. Sensitive backend fields are protected at rest where configured.

Your Content & License

You retain all ownership rights in the Content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, process, and transmit your Content solely to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service. You represent and warrant that: (a) you hold all necessary rights to submit your Content; (b) your Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights; and (c) your Content does not violate applicable law.

Intellectual Property & User License

The Service and all underlying software, designs, trademarks, and proprietary content (excluding your Content) are owned by the Company and its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to access and use the Service solely in accordance with these Terms. You may not: (a) copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; (c) scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service; (d) frame or mirror the Service; (e) sublicense, sell, resell, or otherwise exploit the Service commercially; or (f) remove or alter any proprietary notices. Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide may be used by us freely without restriction, attribution, or compensation.

AI-Powered Document Processing

When you upload documents (such as Consolidated Account Statements, bank statements, insurance policies, or NPS statements) for automated data extraction, you explicitly consent to those documents being transmitted to third-party AI processing services (currently OpenAI) for parsing. Such documents may contain personal and financial information including PAN, date of birth, and account numbers. We use API configurations that limit data retention by the AI provider where available, but cannot guarantee zero retention on third-party infrastructure. You may always enter data manually to avoid AI processing. Use of this feature constitutes your explicit, informed consent to this processing.

Family Sharing & Multi-User Access

When you create or join a Family, you acknowledge and agree that: (a) Family members with appropriate roles and permissions may view Items you designate as FAMILY-visible; (b) Family Owners and Admins may manage member roles, permissions, and access settings; (c) you are solely responsible for configuring visibility and access settings for your Items; (d) where you enter personal data of third parties (family members, nominees, contacts), you represent that you have their consent or lawful authority to do so; and (e) shared Items may have time-limited access after which access is automatically revoked. The Company is not liable for data accessed by other Family members prior to revocation of access or modification of sharing settings.

Billing, Plans & Payments

The Service may offer free and paid subscription tiers with limits and features as disclosed at the time of purchase or on our pricing page. Payments for paid Plans are processed by Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd. We do not store your payment card details.

Auto-Renewal: Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access through that date.
Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or at our sole discretion in exceptional circumstances.
Downgrades & Enforcement: If your usage exceeds Plan limits, certain features may be restricted or data may become read-only. We will endeavor to provide notice before enforcing such restrictions.
Price Changes: We may change Plan pricing with at least 30 days' prior notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the revised pricing.

Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to:

Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights;
Upload, store, or transmit illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringing Content;
Interfere with, disrupt, or degrade the performance of the Service or its infrastructure;
Attempt unauthorized access to any account, system, network, or data;
Impersonate any person, entity, or affiliation;
Facilitate money laundering, tax evasion, fraud, or other financial crimes;
Automate access, create bots, or scrape data without our prior written consent;
Circumvent Plan limits, rate limits, security controls, or access restrictions;
Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorization.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.

Communication Policy

You consent to receive essential service communications including OTPs, security alerts, transactional emails, and SMS notifications required to operate the Service. You may opt out of non-essential marketing communications at any time; however, you cannot opt out of operational communications that are necessary to deliver the Service. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply to SMS messages.

Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party providers to deliver the Service, including: Firebase (Google authentication token verification), OpenAI (AI document extraction), MSG91 or equivalent providers (OTP and transactional SMS/email delivery), Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd. (payment processing), cloud object storage services (document storage), and observability tooling (Grafana). Use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the practices, availability, or content of third-party services.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS for all data in transit, RS256-signed JWTs, Firebase token verification, rate limiting (10 login attempts per 60-second window), access controls, structured logging with sensitive-field redaction, and database-level field encryption for selected sensitive fields at rest. Documents are transferred via short-lived presigned URLs. While we endeavor to maintain robust security, no system is entirely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and credentials.

Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately upon: (a) material violation of these Terms; (b) actual or suspected fraud, abuse, or security risk to the Service or other users; (c) non-payment of applicable subscription fees; or (d) requirements of applicable law or regulatory authority. We will endeavor to provide prior notice where reasonably practicable, except where immediate action is required for security or legal reasons. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support@unyt.money; data will be handled per our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY FOR LOSS OF DATA, INCLUDING CONTENT LOSS OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS CAUSED BY COMPROMISED DEVICES OR CREDENTIALS. THE SERVICE IS AN ORGANIZATIONAL TOOL AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE FINANCIAL, LEGAL, TAX, OR INVESTMENT ADVICE.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (A) WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES; (B) OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING UNDER OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (i) FEES ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (ii) ₹1,000; AND (C) THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY ADVANCED (CONTRACT, TORT, STATUTE, OR OTHERWISE) AND EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your Content; (b) your use or misuse of the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; or (d) your infringement of any third-party right.

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, government actions, internet or telecommunications infrastructure failures, cyberattacks, power outages, pandemics, natural disasters, or labor disputes. We will endeavor to restore the Service as soon as reasonably practicable following any such event.

Assignment & Waiver

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms and any rights or obligations hereunder without restriction in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms at any time shall not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it thereafter.

Survival

The following provisions shall survive termination of your account or these Terms: Your Content & License (to the extent necessary to operate the Service or as required by law), Intellectual Property & User License, AI-Powered Document Processing (as to consent already given), Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnity, Assignment & Waiver, Dispute Resolution, Governing Law & Jurisdiction, and this Survival clause.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, you agree to first attempt informal resolution by contacting us at support@unyt.money with a written description of the dispute. We will attempt good-faith resolution within 30 days of receipt. If the dispute is not resolved informally within that period, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka as described below.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to the Dispute Resolution section above, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

Regulatory Changes

We may modify features, processes, or policies at any time to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or regulatory guidance. Where material changes affect your use of the Service, we will endeavor to provide advance notice consistent with the "Changes to Terms" section below.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. For material changes, we will endeavor to provide at least 14 days' advance notice via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you must stop using the Service before the effective date.

Grievance Redressal & IT Act Compliance

We endeavor to comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (as amended), and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. For any grievances or concerns relating to the Service or your data, please contact our Grievance Officer at support@unyt.money. We will acknowledge all grievances within 24 hours and address them within timelines prescribed by applicable law.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms applicable to specific features or paid Plans, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company with respect to the Service and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
